There is indeed problems with this package. The exe in particular. Don’t know or really care what or how you tested it, but it is indeed an issue, and as such, you should probably investigate a different/better detection system on your end. PLEASE, listen to your users and take appropriate action to protect them. As in, remove the DL link at the least. When users tell you they spent hours or whatever cleaning their system after the install there is indeed a problem HELLO?? AND too users who were successful in installing this, I also suggest you acquire better protection.

For myself, the exe was immediately quarantined upon DL. As such, I knew beforehand there was a potential problem and as such avoided the issues others have experienced. Then coming back here, I knew my detection system was bang on considering the posts I’ve read.

Windows Defender is *not* an antivirus. It’s antimalware, and doesn’t cover all kinds of it, mostly spyware. So no viruses, most trojans, no rootkits and loads of other stuff are not detected by it. Side note: A Gog game doesn’t contain cracks (or it shouldn’t) that would trigger loose heuristics or anything. One of my reasons to try to get Gog games is that they don’t have any DRM (and I’ve spent some money on them too, I’m not all day pirating games).

I thought you showed good care on only getting stuff from trusted sources, but Magicmaker and this one makes me think otherwise.
