Wow that is such a great tutorial. You are very digitally savvy. I’m not sadly so sure do hope I can get this without screwing it up. I’ve never even tried something like what you’ve shown but I’d love to be able to do something besides reading all the wonderful blogs I subscribe to. I’ve been meaning to go into PicMonkey to see what that ‘s about but have hesitated for fear I’d get so frustrated I might throw my pc out the window, really.

Don’t know where you get the time to do all you do with two adorable little boys. I’ve subscribed to your wonderful blog. I also do not have a silhouette as it’s way beyond my budget, ever. If I don’t know how to use Word how could I possibly “get” silhouette? Thanks to your wonderful tutorial I’m going to at least go into Word to see if I can do something coherent. Happy Weekend.

The steps shown on the tutorial were done using Word 2007. I don’t have Word 2010 on my computer, so I’m not sure where the buttons are located, but if you hit F1, you will get the help screen and you can type the command you’re looking for into there and get the answer. As far as resizing your letters, it’s hard to know what’s going on without being able to see your computer, but some things to check would be 1) Make sure you’re using WordArt and not just typing the letter, 2) Make sure you’ve changed the “Text Wrapping” setting to “In Front of Text”, 3) Make sure you haven’t grouped your pieces before you try to resize it, and 4) Sometimes when things are layered on top of one another it’s hard to click the right thing, so double check that you’re actually selecting the letter and not the shape. I hope this helps! I’m sorry I don’t have more details– it’s difficult to troubleshoot from afar! Thanks so much for reading.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend! Abby, thanks so much for this SIMPLE design tutorial!! Simple as in OMG i didn’t know it was that simple!! I am pretty computer literate i like to think so following your tutorial was so easy!

I’ve already completed one of the many banners i plan on making for my princess’ first birthday!! I have one question though–does this use a LOT of ink when printing with the background filled in with different pictures? I have polka dots, criss cross, tribal and they’re all ‘filled in’ showing no white.

It would be nice to know before i print them off 🙂 Thanks so much!!! (i also love your label tutorial) xoxo. Abby, I was thinking of doing that! We have an office max close to us so I will check there.

Plus my husband pointed out we have an ink jet–i think!? & wondered if i needed a laser pritner to print them anyways for good quality. (sorry!) I started making little labels for food (Dragons teeth & Dragons breath, fairy godmother wands) Can you suggest what size you think i should make the rectangles to be a good size to place in front of the food at the party?

Australian illustrative financial statements I appreciate your help & i love your blog!
